In this episode of Surviving History, the Scarefactory, Ohio's home-grown team of master craftsmen, trek through history guides, which lead them to the world of the Middle ages.

It's here that they explore the mythology of the Iron Maiden. a lethal cabinet shaped torture device which traps the helpless victim inside with the sharp, piercing objects on the inside. The team create a replica of the brutal torture instrument and use it to see the effects the spikes would have had on the helpless victims.

Kermit brings his fabricating ingenuity to a lesser known device, the Iron Boot, while Josh breaks away from the group to investigate Ancient China's early use of gunpowder with Rocket-propelled Fire Arrows.
