If your home could tell its story, imagine what it might reveal…

The Hidden House History series sets out to unlock the real stories within our homes. We’ll show you how to unearth documents, identify architectural evidence, find out when and why the house was built and who previously lived there.

Our experts on the case are Dr Nick Barratt and Dr Jonathan Foyle. Nick’s mission is to discover the history of those who made the building a home through the years – uncovering their individual stories to tell the true tale of each house.

Jonathan’s assignment is to investigate the building itself; looking for the architectural features that reveal how and why each building has changed over time and how it fits into the context of the local community.

By combining these elements Nick and Jonathan reveal the real stories of our houses and guide you through the potential wonders of researching the history of our homes.
