The Breitling Jet competition - Terms and Conditions
• The promoter of the competition is The History Channel, Grant Way, Isleworth, Middlesex, TW7 5QD.
• The closing date for entries is midnight, Friday 19th May 2006.
• The Breitling Jet competition is open to all UK residents only aged between 18 - 75, with the exception of employees or family members of an employee of the Promoters or BSkyB, associated agencies and suppliers and any other company, associated agency and supplier involved in this competition. Proof of age may be required.
• Due to the nature of the prize on offer and the Breitling Jet operational limits, the winner must:
- be in good health. The winner has full responsibility for declaring ailments past and existing (including, but not limited to, diabetes, psychological disabilities, cardio problems and limited vision); and will be required to sign a declaration of good health;
- be aged between 18 & 75; and
- be no taller than 6’ 3” and
- have full unrestricted mobility (including the ability to bend their knees past 90 degrees);
- weigh no more than 15 stones (approx. 95kg) when fully dressed ( including shoes); and
- measure no more than 43 inches/110cm around the largest part of midriff. The winner will be weighed and measured on the day of the flight.
- The History Channel reserves the right to chose a different winner if any of the above conditions detailed in this point are not satisfied.
• By entering the competition, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
• These rules will be deemed to include the instructions set out in the contents of this web page.
• All correct entries will be entered into a draw and the winner(s) will be selected at random from all correct entries received by the closing date. The chosen winner(s) will receive a trip to the Biggin Air Fair 2006 as a passenger in a Breitling Jet.
• The winner and their guest will enjoy accommodation for Friday 2nd June and be VIP guests of The History Channel on Saturday 3rd June at The History Channel Biggin Hill Airfair 2006.
• It is the winner’s and their guest’s responsibility to arrange and pay for travel from Biggin Hill back to their place of residence.
• Flight is subject to serviceability and weather on the day and may be changed to another day if either factor becomes a problem.
• If the winner wishes to experience the above mentioned flight they must arrive at Duxford 2 hours prior to pre-arranged arrival at Biggin Hill and they will be asked to read and agree to comply with the conditions in the flight briefing notes (supplied by Breitling a minimum of two (2) days in advance of flight).
• The judges' decision is final, and no correspondence or discussion concerning the result will be entered into.
• Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt. Responsibility cannot be accepted for entries not properly received, incomplete, incomprehensible or delayed due to technical problems. The prize is as stated and no cash alternative will be offered.
• The winner will be notified in writing on Monday 22nd May, by phone, text or e-mail.
• The winner has seven 48 hours after notification in which to inform The History Channel in writing (at the address above) that they accept the prize. Failure to accept within this time-limit will result in the prize being reoffered elsewhere.
• The History Channel reserves the right to publish the name and home town or county of the winner(s) in any future publications. Further, such details will be available from the promoter after the draw by sending a SAE to The History Channel, Grant Way, Isleworth, Middlesex, TW7 5QD. Entry into the competition constitutes acceptance of the rules of entry.
• The winner may be required to take part in any publicity accompanying or resulting from this competition and may have their trip filmed as part of footage to be shown on The History Channel to be used at The History Channel's discretion.
• You may enter the competition via the following routes:
- Phone line – Calls will cost no more than £1. Unlimited number of phone entries. Entrants will be required to leave their name, address and telephone number when entering via the phone line.
- Post – entries are free, however, maximum of one postal entry per person.
- Website – entries are free via The History Channel e-newsletter which can be accessed at www.thehistorychannel.co.uk. Maximum of one website entry per person.
- SMS – calls or texts will cost no more than £1 plus your standard network rate. Unlimited number of SMS entries.

• Where the entrant has entered the competition via the phone line or by post, any information provided will be used by the promoter to send you news of other great offers by post. Thus, by submitting your details via the phone line or by post to the prize draw, you are agreeing to your contact details being used by the promoter to contact you about its services. • Where the entrant has entered the competition via the website or by SMS, they may be contacted in the future by other means, but only where consent to receive such communications has been given.
• Should the prizes become unavailable due to circumstances beyond the promoter's control, the promoter reserves the right to withdraw any of the prizes at any time.
